WHAT WE DO
The
Secure Our Children Foundation is an action-focused organization
with the broad mission of containing hunger and malnutrition,
the two prime enablers of infections and diseases among poverty-stricken
children in Africa.
While its vision is expansive, SOCF's primary effort is taking
noma in Africa. Its primary strategy is to focus on prevention
by establishing, supporting and encouraging people-focused
information, education and empowerment programs.
A 501(c) non-profit organization, the Secure Our Children
foundation is headed by Professor Cyril Enwonwu, an expert

Goals & Objectives of the Foundation

To raise funds for activities that promote the eradication
of Noma.

To support the activities of Health Facilities involved in treating Malnutrition
and/or Noma

To educate parents and vulnerable communities about personal
hygiene practices (including oral hygiene), environmental
sanitation, appropriate nutrition and early-warning signs
of noma.

To promote immunization against communicable diseases
for children.
- To provide safe drinking water to communities which rely
on contaminated surface water by pumping and treating water
from underground reservoirs.
The foundation will also participate in research and treatment
programs and work to change public policies that contribute
to poverty in Africa.
SOCF is a tax-exempt, charitable, nonprofit organization incorporate
in the State of Maryland, U.S.
